The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed about the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The assistance point developed for intervention activities a superior influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it status sassa complicated for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to help the servicing of all buyers and boost use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
